Dude, I'm missing ya so much but we'll celebrate when I return! Congrats!
A poem for my grandfather on his 80th birthday:
What is it to be 80?
A celebratory day it is.
You sure got a fine lady,
and of course loving grandkids.
80 years of hard earned growth,
and memories to live by,
travel, golf, and tons of food,
cooked in kitchens you designed!
A wizard with a pencil, a Shakespeare with words
a true Renaissance man (and great salesman, so I've heard)
Your love is felt by everyone,
A genuinely good man,
The spirit of your father lives in you,
(As you can tell I'm a big fan)
A clap of the hands and "lets go!"
signals ice cream for the dude
so on this day your 80th,
Remember, I LOVE YOU!
